The Plantsmiths is a small nursery growing and selling cut flowers & potted plants. Our business follows the seasons. We start in March with a selection of beautifully arranged pots containing bulbs and spring flowers such as primroses, cowslips, auricula and muscari. 

April to October is the main cut flower season. 

The flowers we grow are reminiscent of a traditional cottage garden; starting with tulips and hellebores and ending when the first frosts damage the dahlias and cosmos. 

Our flowers and potted plants can be bought directly from The Plantsmiths (01347 821461) or from Tea Hee! in the local town of Easingwold.  We can provide anything from a small posy to flowers for your wedding.

We also sell plants suitable for your own cut flower or herb garden and can provide a design service for customers who are looking to create a cottage-style garden.

We are based in the beautiful village of Crayke, North Yorkshire, where we grow almost all of the plants and flowers that we sell.  This way we know the plants, their origin AND their growing conditions.  We lavish them with care, attention and lashings of home made compost to ensure they are of the highest quality.  What we don't do is use any chemicals.   

The business is run by Judy Wright, who left a marketing career with a large company to set up the enterprise in 2006. 

In 2010 we opened a Christmas Shop which usually opens late in November until Christmas.
